Herpes Symptoms

Other Symptoms

There are other symptoms that you may experience that could be a sign that you have contracted the condition.

  • You may have swollen lymph glands,
  • Vaginal or penal discharge,
  • Fevers, these are common during an outbreak as your body works to contact the infection,
  • Headaches can be frequent during and prior to an outbreak,
  • Infection of the urethra that causes pain and burning while you are urinating,
  • The genital region may feel as if it is burning,
  • Some individuals experience back pain,
  •  Muscle aches may also be common in those that get this type of reaction from other infections.

In some people, there are no herpes symptoms at all.  In fact, in some studies it has shown that up to 60 percent of those that have the condition do not show any signs or symptoms of herpes.  They may not know that they have the condition either.  Nevertheless, they are very much able to spread HSV even without symptoms.

Herpes can be spread at any time even during non outbreak periods.  This makes it incredibly important for you to manage your condition carefully.  If you have any of these herpes symptoms, seek out your doctor to help you to find the right medications to suppress the outbreaks.  While there is no cure available, help is available.
